4/10. Astute instruction. Good tips on avoiding melting wax and core engagement during paddling. But you can't put a tall beginner on a shortboard and expect him to catch thumpy eight foot waves. I mean the poor guy's popup was based on his toes on the sand. Should have put him in the whitewater ... and even then it would have been a tough sell.
